ACF District 4 Tournament: Elbert Lowder of Sanford, N.C., won the 1987 District 4 tourney, winning over runner-up Paul Davis, Virginia, on Honor Points. The tourney was held October 30 - November 1 in Statesville, N.C. Placing third was Ed Bruch, then C. Crawford, J. Webster, L. Balderson, R. Butler, H. Owen, T. Laverty, and R. Armstrong were next through the top ten. Ben Jones, Flat Rock, N.C., won the Class B tourney, followed by M. Stephenson, J. McClellan, E. Luffman, E. Rolader, J. Weatherly, D. Trivette, P. Berry, V.
